Hirakata Park

Known as “Hira-Par,” this amusement park for families boasts a vast 160,000 square meters of land and is located in a bedroom town in Osaka.

Located only a 3-minute walk from Hirakata Koen Station on the Keihan Railway, the park features 43 attractions and takes advantage of the park’s undulating terrain.

The wooden coaster “Elf” is 695.6 meters long with a maximum speed of 58.1 km/h. The wooden coaster’s unique swaying and soft ride provides both fear and comfort, making it a screaming, healing attraction.

The “Red Falcon,” a roller coaster with a total length of approximately 1,300 meters and a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour, and the “Giant Drop Meteor,” a super-screaming machine that drops at high speed, are popular attractions where visitors can experience the terror of a vertical drop that will leave them unconscious.

The amusement park also has cute animals and beautiful roses to enjoy, a swimming pool in summer, and skating and Snowland (snow playground) in winter.

Also known as the oldest amusement park in Japan, the rose garden and other spaces that can be enjoyed by the elderly are also attractive.

The rose garden has 4,000 original varieties of 600 species, old roses, and modern roses, and the entrance is decorated with numerous seasonal flowers and plants.

In addition, there is a mini zoo, “Dobutsu Hagu Hagu Town,” where visitors can interact with about 40 species of animals, including raccoons, red pandas, otters, squirrel monkeys, prairie dogs, guinea pigs, tortoises, capybaras, alpacas, penguins, owls, parakeets, dogs, cats, and many others.

Hirakata Park is one of the largest amusement parks in the Kansai region, filled with nature and attractions for children and adults alike, and hosts a variety of seasonal events.
