World Farm (World Makiba)

One of the largest tourist farms in the Kansai region, with the concept of “heart-to-heart contact between people, nature, and animals,” this theme park/zoo is where visitors can enjoy interacting with animals. More than 1,500 animals of about 140 species live in the park.

Facilities include a pasture for goats and sheep, a dolphin and whale petting pool and towing horse course, a canine and feline petting pavilion, a raptor petting pavilion, and a small animal petting pavilion.

Outdoor barbecue facilities and eating facilities are also available, and visitors can enjoy soft-serve ice cream that can only be found at the ranch.

Visitors can also play in facilities such as a dog run, field athletics, jabu-jabu plaza, goldfish scooping, Japanese goldfish fishing, and battery cars.

Visitors can also milk cows and pick up freshly laid eggs.

There are also many rare animals, including the Percheron, the world’s largest horse used in Hokkaido’s Banei horse racing, the Flemish Giant, the world’s largest species of rabbit, the Coal Duck, the world’s smallest duck, and the Irish Wolfhound, one of the tallest dogs in the world. Most of the animals in the park can be touched, and some of the individuals are available for purchase.

After working up a sweat at the field athletic facilities and the kids’ plaza, visitors can relax at the natural hot spring Ichinoyu. Natural hot spring Ichinoyu can be used without admission. There are also log cabins and cottages available for overnight stays, allowing families to spend the whole day playing together.

From the west, the Osaka Plain, Mt. Rokko, and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge can be seen.
