This museum introduces the history of instant ramen. Here, the hut of the laboratory where Chicken Ramen was developed is recreated, and the history of the manufacturing process and improvement of instant ramen and Cup Noodles are displayed in a model.
Also on display are instant ramen packages from around the world.
In addition, visitors can choose their own soup type and toppings at the “My Cup Noodle Factory” for a fee, and create their own original Cup Noodles.
In 2017, the facility was renamed the Ando Momofuku Invention Museum Osaka Ikeda, nicknamed the Cup Noodle Museum Osaka Ikeda).
The museum focuses on providing learning opportunities associated with food education, with an approximate 2:1 ratio of equipment space for exhibits to that for hands-on learning.
At the Chicken Ramen Factory, visitors can experience the process of kneading flour for dough, seasoning, and making noodles by hand.
At “My Cup Noodle Factory,” visitors can make their own original Cup Noodles, a hands-on food education museum.
Visitors can enjoy learning about instant ramen through exhibits and quizzes.
Chicken Ramen Factory” and “My Cup Noodle Factory” are especially popular and reservations are recommended.
